Many of our lawyers are engaged in legal consultation and committee activities assigned and provided by bar associations. Our lawyers also serve not only as court-appointed defense counsels in designated court cases but also as duty attorneys assigned by bar associations to counsel suspects prior to their being formally charged.

Many of our lawyers have been seconded to Japanese ministries and governmental organizations to support their legislative and administrative activities. Our lawyers also serve as members of various councils and committees of governmental organizations including municipalities.

Our lawyers are engaged in training of next generation leaders by lecturing as adjunct law school professors at universities, law schools or other similar institutions, or by serving as directors of universities or other school corporations in Japan. Our firm also takes on legal trainees and law students (interns) from Japan and overseas who aspire to be legal professionals.

International public service activities in which our lawyers are engaged include participation in the activities of international legal networks such as the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) as well as support for training of legal professionals overseas by lecturing as adjunct law school professors at law schools in the U.S.
